Indian Student Handwrites the Quran Over Five Years

An Indian student named Sajla, from the village of Kaniyur, has completed a handwritten copy of the Holy Quran after five years of effort.

According to the Shia Waves Agency, citing Daijiworld, Sajla used black ink on white, blue, and green paper to create the 604-page manuscript. The final version, with a red and gold binding, weighs approximately 14 kilograms. Each page took about four hours to complete, with the total work taking nearly 2,416 hours.

The official unveiling ceremony was held at the Al-Huda Center Women’s College in Kumbra, where the manuscript was introduced by Yasin Sakhawi Al-Azhari. This significant achievement has garnered attention from both the academic and religious communities.
