……………..
Under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, the Islamic Arts Unit of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs has launched an artistic mural project along the Arbaeen pilgrimage route, with both local and international participation. Ali Falah Al-Alwi, head of the Islamic Arts Unit, said the initiative aims to educate and raise awareness among pilgrims about the significance and beauty of Islamic art.
Contributing artists include Professor Dr. Fouad Durgam of the College of Fine Arts, who created a mural depicting the Arbaeen march, and artist Mohammed Al-Madhty from Babil, whose work portrays the events of Ashura and the return from Karbala. The murals are being completed over four days and will remain on display until the end of the pilgrimage.
The program also features a piece by artist Mohammed Hitler, illustrating Sayyeda Zainab and Imam Al-Sajjad entering Damascus. Participating artists expressed gratitude to the shrine for the opportunity to present their work to millions of visitors, calling it a significant step in promoting purposeful art and enriching the cultural atmosphere along the “Ya Hussein” route.
