The Imam Hussein Media Group announced on Monday the start of its live broadcast covering the massive Arbaeen pilgrimage from Najaf to Karbala. Operating from its media center near Ali Al-Akbar station close to column 1114, the group’s media teams began early morning transmissions, capturing the millions-strong march toward the shrine of Imam Hussein.
Coverage includes key points along the pilgrimage route, such as the significant border crossing at Al-Zurbatiyah, which sees large numbers of international visitors. Media crews are also deployed throughout the journey, from Basra province to Karbala city.
Broadcast studios are set up in multiple locations, including the old city near the Imam Hussein shrine’s gate. The group’s satellite channels broadcast continuously in Arabic, English, Persian, Urdu, and Turkish, allowing a global audience to engage with the event and witness the expressions of faith and devotion.
Hujjattul-Islam Sheikh Mustafa Al-Mohammadi, the group’s general supervisor, personally oversees field operations to ensure accurate and authentic coverage of one of the world’s largest peaceful gatherings. This media effort aims to promote the message of Karbala, highlighting themes of sacrifice, generosity, and loyalty reflected by millions of pilgrims and hosts alike.
