Imam Hussein Shrine Launches AI-Powered Digital Medical Camps to Serve Arbaeen Pilgrims

The Health and Medical Education Authority of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) has launched fully integrated digital medical camps in Karbala to provide healthcare services for pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen pilgrimage, utilizing advanced artificial intelligence technologies in what it described as a pioneering initiative.
The project is part of the shrine’s comprehensive health plan for Arbaeen and aims to enhance medical services for millions of pilgrims through the use of digital systems and smart technologies in diagnosis, medical monitoring, and emergency response.
The medical camps are equipped with advanced devices supported by artificial intelligence systems to assist healthcare teams in rapidly identifying medical conditions and improving treatment decisions, thereby increasing the efficiency of services provided to visitors.
The initiative also includes a fully equipped medical laboratory, specialized teams for rapid response to cardiac emergencies and mass casualty incidents, continuous first aid services, and monitoring systems designed to strengthen medical preparedness throughout the pilgrimage period.
The Health and Medical Education Authority stated that the initiative reflects the Holy Shrine’s efforts to employ modern scientific and technological developments in serving Imam Hussein’s pilgrims and creating a safer healthcare environment during Arbaeen, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
