The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, emphasized that Eid al-Ghadir represents the core of Islamic and human values in their highest and most profound forms. In remarks published on his official website ahead of the upcoming Eid, the Grand Marja stated: “Ghadir is the culture of Islam and humanity in all its noble and deep meanings.”

His Eminence quoted Imam Ali (peace be upon him) as saying: “By God, if I were given the seven realms with all that lies under their heavens in exchange for disobeying God by wronging an ant by taking a barley husk from it, I would not do so.”

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said these words reflect the essence of justice and human dignity that define the Ghadir message. He described Imam Ali as the master of eloquence, whose every word embodies divine and ethical principles.

It should be mentioned that Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has consistently stressed that embracing the values of Ghadir—especially guardianship and justice—is essential to building a fair and moral society.
