UK Muslim trailblazers honoured at 2025 British Muslim Awards in Birmingham

Birmingham hosted the 12th annual British Muslim Awards 2025 on Friday, May 2, at Eastside Rooms, celebrating outstanding contributions by British Muslims across various fields. Organized by Oceanic Awards, the prestigious event drew prominent figures from education, media, healthcare, law, and community services.
Spokesperson Irfan Younis said, “For over a decade, we’ve been recognizing the achievements of British Muslims. By highlighting these inspiring individuals, we hope to motivate future generations and promote diversity and inclusion in society.”
Among the winners were Darnish Amraz, named “Community Personality of the Year,” and Arif Siddiq, who received the “Outstanding Achievement” award.
Alia Jowell was honored as “Muslim Woman of the Year,” while Yusuf Yasin and Wazik Hassan shared the title of “Muslim Man of the Year.” The awards also recognized institutions such as Lady Khadijah Girls School and the Islamic Centre in Derby, showcasing stories of excellence and leadership within the UK’s Muslim community.
