Pakistani Military Conducts Missile Strike on Kunar, Afghanistan

Local sources reported that the Pakistani military conducted a missile attack in the Sarkani district of Kunar, Afghanistan, around 2:00 AM on Friday, Khaama Press reported. The strikes targeted the Nava crossing and surrounding areas, prompting residents to flee their homes in search of safety. The attack resulted in numerous casualties, with dozens reportedly dead or injured.

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the operation aimed at Pakistani Taliban militants in border regions, citing ongoing tensions between the two nations. Islamabad has accused the Taliban of sheltering Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants, a claim the Taliban denies. This incident follows previous bombardments by Pakistan in Paktika and Khost provinces.

The Taliban has not officially commented on the recent attack, but tensions continue to escalate, highlighting the urgent need for diplomatic efforts to address security concerns and protect civilian lives in the region.
