Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Light of 14 Infallibles Was Created Before Time and Space

Another daily scholarly session led by Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Hosseini al-Shirazi was held in his honourable residence in Qom, during which the Supreme Marja addressed questions from attendees regarding various jurisprudential issues.

In relation to the creation of the Infallibles (Peace Be Upon Them), Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stated: “It is narrated that Almighty God created the light of the 14 Infallibles (Peace Be Upon Them) before time, space, and galaxies, and before all things.”

His Eminence further mentioned: “In the Ziyarah of Lady Fatimah (Peace Be Upon Her), who is one of the 14 Infallibles, it is stated: ‘He created you before He created you.’ The Almighty created you in the light form before granting you material existence.”

Regarding the nature of the creation of the Infallibles (Peace Be Upon Them), he said: “Aside from this worldly creation, the Infallibles (Peace Be Upon Them) have had another form of creation, where their light was created. There are numerous authentic narrations on this matter, transmitted by both Shia and Sunni sources.”
