An Iraqi airstrike in Kirkuk province killed four suspected ISIS members, including a significant leader, as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate ISIS remnants, the army said on Tuesday.
The strike, conducted by F-16 aircraft, also destroyed weapons and communication equipment.
Despite the defeat of ISIS in 2017, the group continues to pose a threat through attacks in areas such as Diyala, Salahaddin, Kirkuk, and Nineveh.
Recent Iraqi airstrikes in Salahaddin and joint operations in Anbar have targeted and killed multiple ISIS members and leaders.
