IHC, Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation and Imam Hussein Media Group distribute 1.5M bottles of water to pilgrims
As part of their humanitarian and service projects during the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, the UK-based Imam Hussein Charity (IHC)—in collaboration with the Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development in Holy Karbala and Imam Hussein Media Group —distributed one and a half million bottles of water to the pilgrims commemorating this event.
The director of Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation told Shia Waves Agency that this initiative came at a critical time, as pilgrims were facing a noticeable rise in temperatures, which increased the need for substantial amounts of water, adding that the charities also provided large quantities of water to mosques and husseiniyas hosting visitors, as well as to Husseini Mawakib.
It should be mentioned that these humanitarian campaigns are in line with the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, who repeatedly stresses the importance of providing all forms of support and services to pilgrims on their way to Holy Karbala or within the holy city during the Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
