Husseini mourners from Holy Karbala launch “7th of Imam Hussein Mourning Procession”

Mourners from the residents of Holy Karbala commemorated the 7th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, his family and companions, peace be upon them, through the “7th of Imam Hussein Mourning Procession” at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine in Holy Najaf.

The Department of Rituals and Husseini Processions in Iraq and the Islamic world provided 50 vehicles to transport mourners to and from Holy Najaf, as well as facilitating and organizing the procession.

It should be mentioned that Husseini mourners from the residents of Holy Karbala customarily observe the rituals of Ashura from the beginning of the sacred month of Muharram until the 17th day of the same month, which marks the seventh day of the martyrdom of the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him.
