Grand Ayatollah Shirazi to deliver his annual speech on Imam Hussein’s martyrdom anniversary
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, will deliver his special speech to the Husseini mourners on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, on Tuesday.
According to the official website of his office, followed by Shia Waves Agency, “Grand Ayatollah Shirazi will deliver his special speech to the mourners on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Master of Martyrs peace be upon him, at his honorable house in the holy city of Qom.”
The statement continued, “His Eminence’s speech will be on Tuesday, the 16th of July, and will witness the attendance of a large number of mourning believers to listen to his special address on this tragic anniversary.”
It added, “Grand Ayatollah Shirazi delivers this speech annually to the mourners, to offer condolences to the holy Prophet’s family and the world at large, to commemorate the tragic martyrdom, and to highlight the great Cause of Imam Hussein.”
The statement pointed out that “His Eminence emphasizes the need for all believers to make the necessary efforts to raise awareness about the injustice faced by Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and the principles of his humanitarian uprising.”
The Imam Hussein Media Group announced its readiness to broadcast Grand Ayatollah Shirazi’s speech live through its channels in Arabic, English, Turkish, Urdu, and Persian, as well as through several independent Shia channels.
