Pakistan: Oil Tanker Explosion Claims One Life, Injures Five in Karachi
In a tragic incident in Karachi’s Shireen Jinnah Colony, an oil tanker explosion has claimed the life of one worker and left five others injured, including a passerby, Dawn newspaper reported yesterday.
According to police and rescue officials, the explosion occurred while some workers were conducting welding work on the empty tanker. Sparks from the welding are believed to have ignited accumulated gases, leading to the blast.
Police have ruled out any sabotage and described the incident as an accident, stating that the victim’s family has not yet approached them for any legal proceedings.
