Arriving in four all-terrain vehicles, the militants stormed the mosque and detonated bombs before opening fire on the fleeing congregation of men, women and children.

Adam Center for Defending Rights and Freedom strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a Sufi mosque in Al-Arish district of Sinai, Egypt, during Friday prayers on 24 November, which killed more than 200 people and injured dozens.

“We strongly condemn the terrorist bombing, that targeted the worshipers at al-Rawda mosque in northern Sinai, which constitutes a great violation of human freedom in the performance of religious rites freely,” the statement said.

The mosque is 25 miles from the provincial capital of el-Arish, which has been regularly targeted by IS militants in recent years.
