Dozens martyred and dozens injured in a series of explosions across Baghdad

A series of bomb attacks have claimed lives of dozens of people and injured many others in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.

 

Iraqi officials say at least 17 people lost their lives in separate bombings in the capital Baghdad on Friday.

The Baghdad explosions targeted a mosque and two outdoor markets in several Shia districts. Several cars and nearby buildings were damaged in the blasts.

Separately, mortar shells fell on Thursday evening on Aladala prison without causing any casualties. Security forces arrested two of those responsible of the attack.

A car bomb also exploded near the entrance to the bridge of Imams in in the holy city of Kadhimiya.
