Saudi Arabia sets a new condition for pilgrims


The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah revealed a new condition regarding the Umrah pilgrimage.
This came in the ministry’s response to an inquiry regarding the performance of Umrah by citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, according to the newspaper Okaz.
The ministry said that the pilgrim, having received the two doses of the anti-corona vaccine, will be subjected to safe isolation for 3 days before performing the Umrah.
The ministry stated that the reservation and issuance of the permit is required of everyone through the “E’tamarna” application.
The ministry added that the pilgrimage of the pilgrims from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries comes in several stages, represented by conducting a PCR examination up to 72 hours before entering the Kingdom.
Upon the arrival of the pilgrim to the airport, the registration will be done in the “Tawakalna” and “E’tamarna” apps.
