London to Witness Muslim International Film Festival Aimed at Changing ‘Perspectives’
The Muslim International Film Festival (MIFF) will launch in London’s Leicester Square on May 30, aiming to “Discover Worlds, Change Perspectives,” Middle East Monitor reported yesterday.
The inaugural festival will showcase narratives from international Muslim filmmakers, as well as productions inspired by Muslim culture and faith, the source mentioned.
Films will screen in competition, with awards presented to Best Feature and Best Short, the news agency observed.
It added that MIFF aims to celebrate and honour individuals who have already made innovative contributions to the film industry, as well as championing new and upcoming filmmakers and talent.
The event will last until June 2.
MIFF is supported by UK Muslim Film, a charity working to champion underrepresented voices on-screen and behind the camera.
