Residents of Holy Karbala launch symbolic funeral to mourn martyrdom of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba

Large numbers of the residents of Holy Karbala launched on Thursday a symbolic funeral to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, and to recall the injustice and oppression he was subjected to during his honorable life.

The Shia Waves correspondent said that, “The faithful mourners carried the symbolic funeral throughout the holy city of Karbala and the Two Holy Shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, to extend their heartfelt condolences.”

He added that, “The mourners confirmed their commitment to commemorating the rituals and ceremonies of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, to expose their oppressors and enemies.”
