The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the arrival of the first groups of pilgrims into the Kingdom via air, land, and sea ports, marking the beginning of preparations for the upcoming Hajj season.
In an official statement, the ministry said around 30 flights carrying pilgrims had arrived from several countries, including Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Malaysia, India, Bangladesh, and Thailand. Authorities said entry procedures were streamlined to facilitate arrivals and speed up processing.
The ministry added that operational readiness at entry points has been strengthened through increased staffing, dedicated lanes for pilgrims, upgraded reception facilities, and multilingual guidance services. These measures aim to ensure smooth arrivals and efficient transportation of pilgrims to accommodation in Mecca and Medina.
Officials noted that preparations for the 1447 AH (2026) Hajj season involve coordinated efforts among multiple government and service agencies to provide comprehensive support, including transportation, housing, and healthcare.
The ministry emphasized that the early arrival of pilgrims is part of broader annual plans to enhance the overall Hajj experience and ensure that rituals are performed in a safe and well-organized environment.
