Birth Anniversary of Imam Jawad (peace be upon him) Marked in Madagascar

A celebration marking the birth anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Taqi, Imam Jawad (peace be upon him), was held on Wednesday evening, 10 Rajab, at the Sultan al-Mu’allifin Hussainiya in the city of Mahajanga, Madagascar.

According to Shia Waves Agency, the event took place at the Hussainiya, which is affiliated with the Supreme Marja’s institutions in the country, and was attended by dozens of Shiite students and young believers. Participants commemorated the occasion through a series of religious and cultural programs.

The gathering began after the Maghrib and Isha prayers and continued until after the Fajr prayer. The program included a religious lecture, poetry recitations, and eulogies in praise of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Attendees also took part in supplications, including the recitation of Du’a al-Jawshan al-Kabir, as well as a cultural competition.

Organizers said the gathering aimed to strengthen religious identity and deepen familiarity with the teachings and legacy of Imam Jawad (peace be upon him) among young members of the Shiite community in Madagascar.
