Fighting has resumed between the Syrian army and units affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the city of Aleppo and its surrounding areas.

Amid rising tensions in Aleppo, intense clashes broke out on several fronts in the city and its outskirts between Syrian army forces and SDF-affiliated units.

According to the Iraqi National News Agency, Syrian army artillery shelled SDF positions and destroyed their military vehicles in the Al-Rasafa area.
