The office of the Supreme Marja, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has announced that Monday, August 25, is the first day of the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal.
The announcement from his esteemed office informs all believers that the sighting of the crescent moon for the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal has been confirmed and Sunday marked the end of the Month of Safar al-Ahzan.
