Thousands of Bahraini pilgrims took part in the Arbaeen commemorations at the Imam Hussein Shrine in Karbala, joining millions of visitors from around the world. The Bahraini mourning procession, which included men, youth, and children, marched through the shrine’s courtyard carrying flags and banners expressing solidarity with the cause of Imam Hussein.

Participants engaged in traditional chest-beating rituals as an expression of grief, while reaffirming their commitment to the values of justice and resistance against oppression associated with the events of Karbala over a millennium ago.

Organizers noted that the annual Bahraini presence at Arbaeen reflects deep cultural and spiritual ties to the commemoration, despite challenges faced by the Shiite community in Bahrain.

The gathering formed part of a series of activities held by Bahrainis during the pilgrimage, underscoring unity among followers of Ahl al-Bayt across different countries and a shared commitment to preserving the legacy of Imam Hussein.
