Bahrain prevents its citizens from visiting holy shrines

Marches took place in several Bahraini towns in protest against the authorities’ ban on visiting the holy shrines in Iraq, Syria and Iran with the approach of the holy month of Muharram.

The demonstrators affirmed their adherence to the approach of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and their condemnation of the sectarian policies of the ruling regime.

The demonstrators considered the recent decision of the authorities as a declaration of sectarian war on the Bahraini majority.

It is noteworthy that the ruling regime in Bahrain follows sectarian policies that have been condemned by human rights organizations and international institutions, as well as the regime’s supporters, led by the United States.
