Four Terrorists Killed in South Waziristan Operation; 11 Security Officers Injured in Militant Attack

Four terrorists were neutralized during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by Pakistani security forces in the South Waziristan region on November 2, 2024. The operation took place in the Sarwakai area, where security forces acted on intelligence reports regarding the presence of khawarij, a term used for outcast militants.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation resulted in the elimination of the four terrorists, who were described as khawarij. The ISPR stated, “Sanitisation operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats in the area,” highlighting the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorism in Pakistan.

This operation follows a recent surge in violence, including an incident earlier in the week where a Pakistan Army major and two soldiers were martyred during an IBO in Bannu district.

Additionally, on Saturday, eleven security personnel were injured in a militant attack on a military base in South Waziristan, underscoring the ongoing security challenges in the region. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
