About 29 miles west from the holy city of Karbala lies the heritage castle of Bani Muqatel, one of the areas where Imam Hussein stopped.
The director of Karbala Center Mr. Abdul Ameer al-Quraishy said, “A group of geologists, physicists and historians from Babylon University along with our team embarked on a mission to mark the areas where Imam Hussein stayed through using a GBR device.”
“The specialist team has collected all the information about this heritage site and proved that it is surely one of the places where Imam Hussein stopped,” al-Quraishy added.
Karbala Center for Researches and Studies, affiliated with Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, is working on full study related to the main areas where Imam Hussein stayed after crossing the Iraqi border.
