Japanese Ambassador to Iraq visits Holy Karbala for second time

Just a year after his first visit to the holy city of Karbala, the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Futoshi Matsumoto, renewed his visit to the city, where he met with the Governor, Eng.Nussaif Al-Khattabi, expressing readiness to cooperate with the local government economically and scientifically.

According to the media office of Al-Khattabi, the Japanese Ambassador Futoshi Matsumoto “visited the holy province of Karbala after his first visit a year ago.”

It added that “the Governor of Karbala confirmed that the city is witnessing a rise in various reconstruction, service, and development fields, as it is visited by millions of people around the year.”

The media office continued, “the Governor provided a detailed explanation about the nature of the holy province of Karbala, which receives about 80 million visitors annually, especially during the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.”
