Pope Francis: The West is the biggest graveyard for humanity
Pope Francis has said that the West cannot be called an “example” because it has gone the wrong way.
In an interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper, the Pope added that “the West as a whole is not currently a typical example. The West has taken the wrong path, with regard to social justice.”
Pope Francis described the West as humanity’s biggest graveyard, and pointed to Europe’s demographic problems, adding that Brussels, in these circumstances, was pursuing a wrong policy on immigration.
“We need people in Spain, in Italy. Why is the West not pursuing a policy of migrant integration?” the Pontiff asked
He also expressed his opinion that the West is “not at the highest level” now, and cannot help other countries.
