International Nonviolence Organization calls for containment of the growing crisis between Serbia and Kosovo

The International Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, called on all official and popular parties in the Republics of Serbia and Kosovo to contain the current political crisis and work to end strife and remove the specter of war from the two nations, warning of the possibility of repeating the 1990s war in the last century.

The organization stated in a statement received by Shia Waves News Agency, that it has been observing the turbulent conditions on the borders between the two countries for some time, expressing its fear that the conflict will grow and turn into acts of war, stressing the importance of giving precedence to the language of dialogue, understanding and logic in finding solutions.

The organization pointed out that the experience of the armed conflict that erupted decades ago after the dissolution of the former Yugoslav Federation is still visible, and that the crimes and violations that affected civilians, the defenseless and the innocent are also painfully visible in the human conscience, stressing the importance of avoiding the scourge of war.

Free Muslim stressed on the leaderships of the two countries to spare their people the proxy war and not to turn them into fuel for the centers of global power, each of which seeks hegemony and influence.
