Australian Muslim Community on high alert after disturbing letter sent to Sydney mosque

A letter of threatening content sent to a mosque in Sydney’s west called for Australia Day violence towards groups including Muslims, Indigenous Australians and supporters of Labor and the Greens parties, AMP 9 News reported.

The disturbing four-page document has put several community groups on high alert.

“The content is absolutely abhorrent, inciting to kill any human being regardless of where they originate from,” NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Brett McFadden said.

The letter is now in the hands of forensics, as counter-terrorism investigators try to track down its author.
