Cornerstone laying ceremony for new headquarters of Islamic Forum in America 

A cornerstone laying ceremony for the new headquarters of the Islamic Forum in America was held, in the presence of a large crowd of members of the Arab and Islamic community, in Dearborn Heights, USA.

  A large number of government officials participated in the celebration, with a group of clergy, judges, activists and representatives of religious, social and political institutions.

 The ceremony opened with a recitation of verses from the Noble Quran by Muhammad al-Zein.

 Lawyer Azzam Al-Dur, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Forum, hosted the ceremony and welcomed the attendees and thanked everyone who contributed to achieving this event.  

 In his speech, the head of the Islamic Forum in America, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Al-Qazwini, expressed his pride and happiness in laying the cornerstone for the new headquarters, speaking about this project and its distinguished place between two churches and the lofty message that it presents about unity between religions.

 The American priest, Ed Roe, spoke about the importance of mutual respect among all, stressing that all religions have one human goal and that he aspires to the day when people from all religions will live in unity without any discrimination.

  A new project, which will be launched soon, will include a mosque, a school, a lecture hall that can accommodate 1,000 people, and parking lots for more than 500 cars. Its cost is estimated at about $8 million, more than half of which has been managed so far.
