The International Nonviolence Organization calls on the Algerian authorities to release the minors

The International Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, called on the Algerian authorities to release minors because of their participation in the protests.
In a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, the organization stated that it had seen statements and testimonies showing that the security authorities in Algeria had committed illegal arrests of a number of minors due to their participation in the protests that erupted recently, calling for an end to these violations and the release of all detained minors.
It added that human rights sources indicated that the Algerian authorities had revealed that a minor girl had been brought to political trial on charges of “unarmed gathering”, stressing that this procedure constitutes a flagrant violation of international laws and a disregard for the legitimate controls that guarantee the rights of civilians, especially children and minors, and indicates that this trial lacks the supposed fair rules, as well as being an arbitrary measure aimed at restricting legal rights in Algeria.
