Misbah al-Hussein Foundation participates in an international workshop and presents its great humanitarian project for the protection of Iraq’s orphans


Misbah al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, which works under the auspices of the Office of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, participated in an international virtual workshop on human rights and childcare, where it presented its great humanitarian project, “The Charter for the Protection of Iraq’s Orphans.”
A statement of the foundation, received by the Shia Waves Agency, stated that the foundation participated in a virtual workshop on “Voluntary National Reviews in the Arab Region” that was held virtually for two days, organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in cooperation with the League of Arab States and the United Nations.
The statement added that the foundation reviewed in detail its great humanitarian project entitled “The Charter for the Protection of Iraq’s Orphans” and its objectives and demands for the Iraqi official authorities to legislate a law and establish an independent body for the care and protection of orphans, stressing that the project won the praise and admiration of the international presence of various nationalities, especially ESCWA, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General to the United Nations in violence against children, stressing their readiness to address the relevant authorities in the Iraqi government and joint cooperation to serve the Iraqi children and orphans.
