The African Creators Conference 2025 recently concluded in Nigeria, serving as a major platform to push the integration of digital skills and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to empower the continent’s youth and rapidly growing creative economy, AfricaNews reported.

A representative for the Minister of Culture and Digital Economy, Blessing Onwughalu, stated that Africa’s true resource is its people and creatives, emphasizing that harnessing AI effectively can unlock new markets, expand cultural exports, and generate millions of jobs. Godwin Omodiale, the event’s convener, highlighted that the conference’s agenda centered on training and curriculum review, ensuring Africa becomes a creator of the digital economy, not merely a consumer. Organizers announced plans to establish Abuja as a central hub for African creators and tech innovators, noting that Nigeria is one of the few African nations to have already developed its own AI strategy.
