The international organization ‘Shia Rights Watch’ (SRW) has expressed its deep concern about the dangers that threaten all humanity in the event of the spread of hate speech and fanaticism, stressing its aims on defending the rights of the Shias and followers of other religions around the world.
The organization, in a statement on the International Day of Commemoration of the Victims of Genocide in World War II held on January 27, said, “The Shia sect is an essential component of the fabric of the societies in which it lives; the honorable community was an example of patriotism and commitment to citizenship in their countries, despite all the pressures and harassments.”
The organization indicated that its defense of the rights of Shias “stems from its commitment to the principles of human rights endorsed by divine laws and international laws,” stressing that nothing would deter it from “working on standing by all the oppressed in the world, and confronting all currents of incitement and hatred motivated by racial and religious motives.”
The organization called on all followers of different religions and sects to ” Embrace the divine and human values; to block the way in the face of advocates of hatred, discrimination and violence.”
