The Martyrs Foundation in Iraq announced today, Tuesday, the opening of three mass graves in the provinces of Nineveh and Muthanna this month, which include the remains of martyrs from the victims of the former regime and the terrorist gangs of ISIS.

“The Department of Mass Graves Affairs has completed all procedures for opening two cemeteries in Nineveh, one in the Sinjar district and the other in the province center, and another cemetery in the province of Muthanna,” said the head of the foundation, Kazem Owaid.

He added, “These graves belong to the martyrs who were victims of ISIS terrorist gangs.”

“The Foundation has so far many mass graves, as it has completed the legal procedures by matching the genetic fingerprint between the victims and their families,” he added.
