The World Nonviolence Organization Free Muslim, in conjunction with the international community’s International Women’s Day, called for freedom and preservation of female detainees’ rights, and for the authorities in the Middle East to release hundreds of political detainees.

It said in a statement, “This call comes in harmony with the international laws on human rights, and in coordination with the decisions of the United Nations, which called for helping women and helping them in various affairs of life, in the hope of achieving the desired global development goals.”

It added, “Women, who make up more than half of the Earth’s population and are guaranteed the perpetuation of the human race, but still many of them suffer due to violations resulting from political, economic or social motives, and often because of military conflicts.”

The organization pointed out that, despite the consensus of the international body of the United Nations on the necessity of implementing the decisions of International Women’s Day, many countries witness a tragic reality for women, in clear violation of documented pledges and binding promises, stressing the need to intensify the efforts of international and human rights organizations efforts to achieve an acceptable level that meets the ambition of women and elevates them to a human level in various countries of the world without discrimination.
