The World Nonviolence Organization “Free Muslim” called to safeguard the rights of refugees, lend a hand, and deal with the issues of the peoples of the Middle East in a humane manner.
“With the announcement of the Turkish authorities to allow refugees to cross into European countries, the international community witnessed massive human crowds fighting the difficult conditions heading to Europe, indifferent to the security risks and the great suffering caused by that,” it said in a statement.
The organization added in the statement, “This matter of course reflects the desperate conditions of thousands of defenseless civilians, women, children and the elderly, who are suffering the tragedy of extremely difficult living conditions, which without hesitation prompted the risk of unlawful travel towards a safe haven represented by the European Union countries.”
The organization said that it looks forward to the international community that bears a joint responsibility for what happened to these civilians and those who stayed behind in conflict areas, calling on the European Union and other developed countries to extend a helping hand, and to deal with the issues of the peoples of the Middle East with a humane manner devoid of political agendas, which have long been the causes of the crises suffered by peoples afflicted by the scourge of wars and dictatorships.
