The International Non-violence Organization Free Muslim expressed its deep regret and dissatisfaction with the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in India resulting from the religious fighting taking place in the city of Delhi, bearing the official authorities the legal and moral responsibility to preserve and protect all its citizens without discrimination.
According to the organization’s statement, “According to the data and testimonies that the organization has seen, fights in several areas of the city of Delhi between the followers of the Islamic religion on the one hand and the Hindu religion on the other, have resulted in many tragedies and loss of life and property, in addition to the social damage and the unfortunate split that resulted from this fabricated conflict.”
The organization said that the Indian authorities should take immediate and urgent action to stop this unrest and impose the force of law and social justice, preceded by resolving the conflict between the citizens of the country.
The organization called on the Indian people to calm down and exercise restraint against those who seek internal strife, stressing the need to prevail in dialogue and understanding to confront the emerging problems, as well as adhering to the principle of renouncing violence and avoiding racism in dealing with their counterparts.
