The Indonesian President announced that a tunnel in the name of “Brotherhood Tunnel” will be established between a mosque in the center of the Indonesian capital and the central church, in the framework of strengthening brotherhood between the followers of the two religions.
Jokowo Wedood said that the project to modernize the construction of the Istiklal Mosque includes the construction of an underground tunnel, adding that this tunnel will connect the mosque and the central church in Jakarta along the main road that connects them.
It is also reported that the Istiqlal Mosque, the largest mosque in the country, has a capacity for more than 200,000 worshipers.
