The officials added that an air strike in the region “Maiwand” province of Kandahar killed a gunman from the Taliban.

The officials said that an air strike in the “Marjah” in Helmand province killed two militants of the group.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the airstrikes also destroyed vehicles and weapons belonging to the terrorist group. 

The Taliban have yet to comment on the air strikes.
