An interfaith gathering of students, religious, cultural and public figures have celebrated Eid al-Ghadeer in a ceremony that was hosted by Shias in Malaysia.
An interfaith gathering of students, religious, cultural and public figures have celebrated Eid al-Ghadeer in a ceremony that was hosted by Shias in Malaysia.
The ceremony included the distribution of a 1000 glasses to the participants with 12 different hadiths about Ghadir Khum.
In conclusion of the ceremony, the participants said that, “Imam Ali, peace be upon him, does not belong to Shias only, but to the entire world.”
The organizers thanked Allah, the Almighty, for blessing them with the ability to create such event that celebrate the love of Ahlulbait, peace be upon them.
Separately, alaysian authorities in Kelantan on Thursday, August 30 raided a religious centre for Shia Muslims celebrating Eid al-Ghadeer before arresting them.
The raid, by some 20 officers from the Kelantan Islamic religious department, started just before midnight.
It is understood that the officers took away several items including reading materials from the centre in Jalan Sri Cemerlang here. Some 10 men and women were later brought to the nearest police station.
