A Muslim woman in Mechanicsville, US state of Virginia, has filed suit against a nursing home she used to work for, claiming her bosses had ordered her to remove her hijab.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported that the suit was filed in federal court in Virginia. It claims that Keseanda Brooks was forced to choose between her job and her faith.
Brooks had worked at Hanover Health & Rehabilitation Center in Mechanicsville. The incident involving the woman’s hijab occurred in January 2017.
