Shia Muslims organize symbolic Arbaeen walk in UK

Hundreds of people from across the UK took to the streets of Bradford for an annual procession to mark the fortieth day after the martyrdom anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, peace be upon them.

 

Hundreds of people from across the UK took to the streets of Bradford for an annual procession to mark the fortieth day after the martyrdom anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, peace be upon them.

Shia Muslims from Luton, Birmingham and London joined the crowds outside Anjuman e Haideria, St Mary’s Road, Manningham, to Arbaeen rituals.

The procession and the symbolic walk was held to mark the fortieth day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Husayn ibn Ali, peace be upon him, with 72 of his companions on October 10, 680 AD, on the holy lands of Karbala in Iraq.
