Daily Session of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi
During the daily scientific session of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, with scholars, virtuous people and various personalities in his honorable house in Qom on Sunday 16 Dhul-Hijjah 1443 AH (7/16/2022), one of the attendees asked:
“What is the meaning of the following honorable hadith: “Love for Ali, peace be upon him, is a good deed, so don’t ruin it with bad deeds.”
His Eminence replied:
“The Noble Quran says: (Say, [O Prophet,] “If you sincerely love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you). What is meant by true love is that which accompanies obedience and work.”
His Eminence also answered other questions raised in the session by the attendees, including: the prohibition of changing sex, khums, congregational prayer for women, and the obligation to follow the most knowledgeable.
