Grand Ayatollah Shirazi delivers his annual speech on Arbaeen Pilgrimage
The Grand Ayatollah SayyidSadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, has stressed in his annual speech on the pilgrimage of Arbaeen that was attended by scholars, seminary students and crowds of the lovers of Ahlulbait, peace be upon them, that “the pilgrimage of Arbaeen is a collective humanitarian school.”
The Grand Ayatollah SayyidSadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, may Allah prolong his life, has stressed in his annual speech on the pilgrimage of Arbaeen that was attended by scholars, seminary students and crowds of the lovers of Ahlulbait, peace be upon them, that “the pilgrimage of Arbaeen is a collective humanitarian school.”
His Eminence added in his statement that” the pilgrimages of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, throughout the year and especially the Arbaeen pilgrimage are of the Husseini characteristics,” adding that “although the pilgrimage is a commendable act, but it is permissible even during times of fear, possibility of being hurt, dangers of being tortured, killed, and likewise pointing out the atrocities that the followers of Ahlulbait, peace be upon them, have been exposed to for participating in the pilgrimage of Arbaeen.”
His Eminence also stressed on the huge determinations of those who continued the rituals of Arbaeen pilgrimage especially Iraqi people who continue to practice these rituals.
His eminence also expressed his gratitude to all of those who supported Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, qith all kinds of Support starting with the pilgrims and those who walked their way to the holy city of Karbala, the servants of the Ahlulbait, peace be upon them, the international media that demonstrated to the entire world these unique practices, the scholars and religious guidance, and the security forces that maintained the safety and security of the pilgrimage.
His eminence called on the on the governments in the Islamic and non-Islamic countries to provide all means of comfort and ease for the pilgrims of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
