Shirazi World Foundation Calls for Economic Reform, Fairer Wealth Distribution
—————————————————
The World Shirazi Foundation has urged governments and international institutions to adopt comprehensive economic reforms to combat poverty and unemployment, reduce inequality and ensure a fairer distribution of wealth.
In a statement marking the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on October 17, the foundation argued that poverty is not inevitable but is exacerbated by unjust economic policies and unequal opportunities. It called for long-term structural reforms focused on job creation, sustainable economic empowerment and fair access to public resources.
Drawing on the teachings of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), the foundation emphasized social justice and the responsibility of governments to protect vulnerable communities. It also called for removing barriers to production, supporting young people and low-income groups, and establishing social solidarity funds to promote equitable access to national wealth.
