Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Emphasizes Importance of Reviving Husseini Rituals, Urges Their Spread Across World

The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, emphasized the importance of reviving and honoring the Husseini rituals, calling on believers to devote their utmost energies and capabilities to establishing and spreading them across the world, due to the eternal religious and humanitarian message they represent.
In a speech delivered during the holy month of Muharram, His Eminence said that the tragedy of Ashura can never be compensated for, and that no deed can equal the blood of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him. He explained that only Almighty Allah knows the greatness of every drop of his pure blood.
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said: “Ashura can never be compensated for, and the blood of Imam Hussein, blessings of Allah be upon him, can never be compensated for. Almighty Allah alone knows the value of every particle of every drop of the blood of Imam Hussein, blessings of Allah be upon him.”
His Eminence explained that establishing and honoring the Husseini rituals benefits the believers themselves, as they are a means of rising in the stages of perfection, drawing closer to Almighty Allah and Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and attaining their care and prayers. He stressed that even the greatest deeds remain unable to compensate for the tragedy of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, as stated in the noble narrations.
