More than one million Hajj pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia ahead of Hajj season: Official

Saudi officials announced on Monday that over one million Hajj pilgrims from abroad have arrived in the Kingdom as preparations continue for this year’s annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Al Arabia reported.

At a news conference about the Hajj season preparations, Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef al-Dosari reported that, as of Sunday, 1,070,000 pilgrims had entered Saudi Arabia.

Each year, millions of Muslims worldwide come to Mecca to perform the Hajj, one of the most important spiritual journeys in Islam.

The pilgrimage lasts several days and involves a series of carefully prescribed rituals.

This year, the Hajj pilgrimage is expected to take place from June 4th to June 9th, 2025, beginning on the 8th day of the lunar month Dhul Hijjah and continuing until the 13th.
