Security forces eliminate 4 terrorists in NW Pakistan

Four terrorists were killed in a clash with government security forces in Khyber district of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, Xinhua reported.

The clash was triggered when the troops conducted an intelligence-based operation on the reported presence of the terrorists, and the militants retaliated with intense firing, the news agency added citing a military statement.

It also said that the terrorists’ hideout was also busted during the operation and a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered.

A clearance operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, the statement added.
